About

QueerBooks is the queer and feminist department of the Buchhandlung Weyermann on the Herrengasse, a few steps from the Zytglogge. It is a section inside the larger bookshop rather than a separate storefront, so you walk in through the bookshop and handle the stock on the shelf.

The range covers lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual and asexual writing, trans, intersex and gender topics, and feminism, in books, films and magazines, in German and in French. The online shop carries more than 11,000 items, which makes the catalogue a good deal larger than the shelf space suggests.

The shop puts on readings on the premises and runs book tables at queer and feminist events around the city through the year. The premises are wheelchair accessible; there is no toilet.
