Aqualis is the second of Bern's two gay saunas, a club of about 600 square metres in the Mattenhof quarter south west of the station. It calls itself a wellness, sauna, bar and club. There is parking inside the building, reached from the Gartenstrasse rather than the front door.
There is a Finnish sauna, a large steam bath, private cabins, a video room, a solarium and cruising areas with glory holes, alongside the bar. The clientele is almost entirely gay men.
The house runs themed party nights and posts the month's dates on its own front page. The recurring ones are naked parties, sneakers and underwear nights, and fisting nights.
