Vadstena Pride is the Pride day of a small town on Lake Vättern, and the municipality runs it. The parade gathers in the Hamnparken by the water, walks up into the old town and finishes on the Rådhustorget, where there is a flag raising, speeches and music on a short stage programme.
A rainbow week leads up to it, with lectures at the library, concerts and theatre. The stated aim is as much to raise the town's own competence on LGBTQ questions as to hold a party.
This is a town of a few thousand people with a castle, an abbey and a harbour, so the whole thing is walkable and the parade route is short.
