The Regnbågsveckan is Tranås's rainbow week, a small Swedish town's version of a Pride: an opening ceremony, a parade, lectures, exhibitions and a rainbow service, spread over a week rather than packed into one afternoon.
The culture and leisure department of the municipality puts it together with the upper secondary school, the folk high school, the Church of Sweden, RFSL and RFSU, and local shops take part by decorating in rainbow colours, so the week is visible in the street as well as in the programme.
