Torso is an independent shop in Galleria Passagen on Kornhamnstorg in Gamla Stan, opened in spring 2021 because its owners thought Stockholm had nothing of the kind. It calls itself the only physical gay shop in Sweden and the only LGBTQ massage studio.
The stock runs from underwear and swimwear to sportswear, harnesses and toys, with the brands the scene buys, Addicted, ES Collection and Andrew Christian among them, and collaborations with local makers. There is glitter and gala at one end and sport and fetish at the other.
The massage side is separate and booked online, with certified therapists trained at Axelsons Institute and organic products from a Swedish maker in Lappland. The shop has sponsored events, put on runway shows and run pop-ups and stalls at most of the gay venues in the city, so it turns up in more places than its own address.
There is also a webshop with delivery within Sweden.
