Stockholm Pride is the largest Pride festival in the Nordic countries and takes a whole week, with the parade through the middle of the city as its centre of gravity.
The festival is built out of named parts rather than one site: a festival park, a Pride House of talks and seminars, a Pride District spread across bars and venues in town, a youth programme and a kink programme, each with its own team. That structure is why the week works as well for someone who wants a debate at two in the afternoon as for someone who wants a dance floor at two in the morning.
The association behind it is member-run and non-profit, and the week depends on several thousand volunteers.
