SLM stands for Scandinavian Leather Men. It is a leather and fetish club for men who have sex with men, founded in 1975, which makes it one of the oldest leather clubs in Europe. It started in Gamla Stan and moved to Södermalm in 1990.

The club is a non-profit association run entirely by its members, who staff the bar and the door themselves. It is open to members only and membership has to be applied for in advance. The entrance is a discreet garage door about ten metres to the left of the main door at number 18, near Mariatorget.

Every event carries a dress code and the door decides whether an outfit passes. The recognised codes are leather, rubber, uniform, worker, sportswear, jocks and underwear, skinhead, and nude with boots or sneakers. Jeans with a t-shirt is the basic level and is not enough for a fetish night. Nazi and racist symbols, weapon replicas, bare feet, printed brand logos and strong fragrances are all turned away.

Inside there is a bar, a dance area and play areas including a dark room. SLM belongs to Top of Europe, the network of Nordic and Baltic leather clubs.
