Malmö Winter Pride is the winter edition of Malmö's Pride, a single day indoors in the middle of January rather than a week of parks and parades in the summer.
It is built around three things. A gala evening, at which the Winter Pride Awards are handed out. A ball, run by the Schlagerbaren club night, with singing, dancing, shows and an open microphone in the big bar. And a Winter Pride House, where artists show work about identity, community and making things.
The same association that runs the summer festival in Malmö puts it on, so a visitor who knows one will recognise the other.
