Gretas is Gothenburg's oldest gay club, on Drottninggatan in the middle of the city, and it has been running for more than a quarter of a century. It is named after Greta Garbo.
There are two dance floors. House goes upstairs, and the main room plays disco, schlager and 70s, 80s and 90s pop. Drag acts turn up on some nights, and there are themed evenings: neon, Latino, Eurovision.
The club is a weekend venue and it fills up. Its own line is that everyone is welcome, and the crowd is mixed rather than men only.
