Prizma is a community and counselling centre for LGBTI+ people on Hlavná in the old town, run by the association Saplinq. It is the only counselling service of its kind in eastern Slovakia, and people contact it from across the country as well as from Košice and the surrounding region.
The counselling is free and covers legal, psychological and social questions. Alongside it there are support groups, among them a separate one for trans and non-binary people, and community meetings, some of which are held in English. Family and friends of LGBTI+ people can use the service too.
This is a counselling and meeting place rather than a bar, so it is worth making contact before turning up. The same association runs Ponq, the cafe and community centre a few streets away, and what Ponq earns goes into Prizma's work.
