Thor's Hammer is a long-running gay bar just off the Old Town of Bucharest, by Piața Walter Mărăcineanu. It opened in 2017 and now trades as Fusion Bar & Club by Thor's Hammer, though most people still know it by the old name.
It is a cosy, laid-back bar with a separate club room. The programme runs to karaoke, bear nights, drag shows and other themed evenings, and the club room has a big screen that gets used for football and events. The crowd is friendly and mostly men, and staff speak English.
It sits close to the smart apartment blocks near Cișmigiu, an easy walk from the Old Town.
