Diversos Bar is a Brazilian bar in Vila Nova de Gaia, on Rua do Cabo Borges in the Devesas part of Santa Marinha. It stands a short walk from the Jardim do Morro metro stop on the Gaia side of the Douro, which makes it an easy crossing from central Porto. The bar calls its own decoration unusual and charming, and colour is the running theme.
Live music carries most nights. Forro, pagode and samba play here, along with fado sessions and karaoke, and the bar runs drag shows and LGBT+ themed parties. That mix is what separates it from the rest of the queer nightlife around Porto, which is otherwise concentrated on the opposite bank.
The kitchen is Brazilian. Pastel de feira and burgers are what the bar pushes hardest, and there are tapas to go with the cocktails and Portuguese wines. The crowd is largely Brazilian residents of Gaia plus people who come across from Porto for a show. The business describes itself as women-led.
