Deuxmecs is the first LGBTQIA+ hotel in Porto, on Rua dos Caldeireiros between the Clérigos tower and the Baixa. The house dates from the early twentieth century and the restoration kept the stucco ceilings and the period detail, then set modern art and strong colour against them.
Rooms have Egyptian cotton linen, rainfall showers, organic toiletries, smart TVs, Bluetooth speakers and a stocked minibar. There are not many of them, so the place reads more like a guesthouse than a hotel.
The house is open to everybody and says so, but it is built for queer travellers, and the location puts most of the bars and clubs in this city within walking distance.
