Zero Tabus is an adult cinema in the basement of the Brasília shopping centre on Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque, out by the Rotunda da Boavista. It belongs to a small Portuguese chain with two more branches, in Braga and Aveiro.
Inside there are screening rooms and private video cabins. It is a mixed venue rather than a gay one, open to men, women and couples, and it has a steady gay clientele among them. House rules are posted and the staff enforce them.
The setting takes some getting used to: an ordinary shopping centre above, this on the floor below.
