Move Club is a queer club on Rua do Bonjardim, up near Praça do Marquês de Pombal and away from the Baixa cluster. The address has a long history in gay Porto: it was the Pride Bar for years, then Posh Club, and it now runs under new management as a space for queer events.
The programme is weekend club nights with DJs and drag, and the room is also let to promoters from Porto and Lisbon for one-off parties. Nights built around a single pop artist are a recurring format.
It is a club rather than a bar, so it is somewhere to go on to rather than somewhere to begin.
