The Hole is the cruising bar in Porto, on Rua da Alegria east of the centre. It is men only and it is the only venue of its kind in the city.
There is a proper bar at the front, which makes arriving less abrupt than the layout might suggest: people come in, have a drink and take their time. Behind it are darkrooms, glory holes, private cabins and cruising areas. It is cash only.
What regulars mention first is the staff and how clean the place is kept. The house line is that freedom, fun and respect are the only rules, and theme and fetish nights run alongside the ordinary week.
