Fabrik is a cocktail bar on Rua da Galeria de Paris, in the middle of the densest nightlife street in Porto. The interior is industrial, concrete and metal and exposed fittings, which sets it apart from the tiled and wood-panelled places on either side.
Early on it works as a cocktail bar with room to sit and talk. Later the volume climbs and the DJs play pop, house and chart music. There is seating out on the street, and on a warm night that is where most of the crowd ends up.
It is a mixed bar with a strong gay following rather than a men-only room, and it is the easiest of Porto's gay-leaning bars to walk into without a plan.
