AMOR.A Cake & Coffee is a small café towards the São Pedro end of Ponta Delgada, on São Miguel. The coffee is organic and the bread is made with sourdough.
The cake counter changes with the day. Cheesecake, pistachio cheesecake, brownies, cookies and brigadeiros sit alongside whatever slices have been baked, and the savoury side stays simple: toast with smoked salmon, avocado, cream cheese and roasted tomato, scrambled eggs on toast, croissants with cheese and ham. Plant-based milk goes in any milk drink. The tea is Gorreana, grown on São Miguel itself, and the cold shelf carries the local Kima and laranjada.
Dogs are welcome, and the café puts that at the top of its own description. There is a short menu for them too, with a poached sausage and vegetable dish of its own.
The café describes itself as an LGBTQ+ friendly place.
