Bar 106 opened in 1990 on Rua de Sao Marcal in Principe Real and has stayed with the same owners since. It is one of the oldest gay bars still running in Lisbon.
The bar is small and international, and most people treat it as the place to start an evening before moving on to the clubs. There are cocktails, occasional live DJs and game nights, including a message night where guests write notes to each other and the bar delivers them.
Drinks are cheap for the neighbourhood and nobody is on the door making it complicated.
