Lust Vintage is the only bar on Madeira that presents itself as an LGBTQIA+ venue. It is on Rua de Santa Maria in Funchal's old town, the street known for its painted doors and for most of the city's late-night drinking, and it took over the premises of the former 23 Vintage Bar.
The music stayed with the building: pop, funk and the hits of the seventies, eighties and nineties. It is a small bar with a terrace out on the street, and the crowd mixes Madeirans and visitors.
Drag performances and live music are a regular part of the programme, along with karaoke nights. The bar describes itself as a place where you can be whoever you want.
