Równik is a queer community centre in a townhouse on Mostowa, in Toruń's old town. It has been open since 2021 and is run by Stowarzyszenie Równik, an association that has worked on LGBTQ+ rights in the city and the region since 2009. Everything is free.
The main room works as a drop-in space where people read, talk, play board games or use the Xbox. There is a lending library of queer and feminist writing, novels as well as academic titles, and the board games can be borrowed and taken home. Thematic groups, workshops, film screenings and discussion evenings run alongside, and the centre publishes its programme for the coming week.
Two support services sit behind the social side. Free legal advice is available to LGBTQ+ people dealing with discrimination, violence or hate crimes, and there is free short-term psychological crisis counselling. Both are arranged in advance.
The association also organises the Toruń Equality March, which reached its seventh edition in 2026 under the slogan "Love without borders". It lends space and promotional help to community events, and takes student placements and volunteers.
