About

Lambda Szczecin is the LGBTQ+ association that most of queer life in the city is organised around. Its office is on aleja Papieża Jana Pawła II, a short walk from Plac Adamowicza, and the door sits between a florist and a hairdresser.

The association gives individual psychological and psychosexological consultations and free legal advice, and it keeps open support groups running, one for trans people and one for LGBTQ+ people generally. The open groups take no booking: you turn up at the office. People living elsewhere in West Pomerania can have their sessions online or claim their travel costs back. A room is set aside as a meeting place for LGBTQ+ youth.

Outside the office it organises the Szczecin Equality March, held for the eighth time in July 2026, and the Szczecin Pride Festival that runs in the days before it. That 2026 edition spread across Kino Pionier, Hala Odra, Zona Sztuki Aktualnej and Galeria STAR, with the march setting off from Plac Lotników. The association also backs the local drag scene and performers starting out, and its queer parties with drag shows are put on at Hala Odra.

Worth knowing before you plan a night out: Szczecin has no gay bar or club at the moment. Skandal on aleja 3 Maja, which took over from Inferno and was the last one, is permanently closed, and LOVEclub All Together shut in 2022. Lambda and its events are where the scene went.
