Spartakus has run as a men's sauna in Kraków since 1991, which makes it one of the longest continuously operating gay saunas in Eastern Europe. It sits in Dębniki on Marii Konopnickiej, across the river from Wawel.
The layout covers a German dry sauna, an Austrian steam sauna, a gym, relaxation rooms (one of them darkened for napping), a roof terrace for sunbathing and a cafeteria that serves warm food. There are private changing cabins, safes to rent, free wifi, and separate smoking and non-smoking areas. Staff speak English and there is security on site.
There is an evening promotion between 8 and 11 pm every customer gets a reduced rate and if you come with a friend he only needs to pay for a towel.
The place has a cruising character alongside the wellness side. The house asks anyone with a visible infection to postpone their visit, and the site makes a point of its cleaning routine and its Legionella testing.
