DOM EQ is Kraków's queer community centre and the oldest in Poland, run by the Federacja Znaki Równości. It opened in June 2019 on Czyżówka in Podgórze. In March 2025 the federation announced it was giving that building up, with the rent climbing and the place needing a full renovation at their own cost, and ran a public fundraiser to find another one. The centre reopened in July 2026 in Kazimierz, behind a green gate on Józefa with the entrance from Krakowska.
Everything it does is free. The programme mixes support with ordinary sociability: a support group for trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people, drop-in afternoons that need no booking, board game evenings, a drawing and comics night, morning coworking, sewing sessions, an over-25s meetup and queer activist evenings. It also runs free anonymous HIV, syphilis and hepatitis C testing, and offers psychological and legal help.
The space is around 120 square metres and wheelchair accessible. Alcohol and drugs are not part of the house, and the centre asks people to leave their prejudices at the gate.
This is a community space rather than a bar, and it is not open every day.
