Cafe Luis is a specialty coffee bar on Olejarna in the old town, near the Museum of the Second World War, and one of the few places in Gdansk that states outright it is queer friendly instead of leaving people to work it out. The pride flag is part of the name on its own Instagram profile.
Part of the room is an exhibition space, so the art on the walls changes and the place works as a small gallery at the same time. A French restaurant had the space before them. Their own description of where they are is that it is central, but down a side path, for people who know it is there.
Coffee is the point, with matcha and a few signature drinks next to it. There are cakes, cinnamon rolls, bagels and croissants, and beer and wine as well. Dogs are welcome and there is usually one in the room. Live music turns up some evenings.
There is a second, smaller Luis in Sopot.
