100cznia is a cultural complex built from shipping containers and old halls on the grounds of the former Gdańsk Shipyard, with the cranes standing right above it. It calls itself a city within the city, and that is about the scale of it: a dozen street food stalls, several bars, a café, a vegetarian zero-waste kitchen, an indoor hall with sofas, darts and ping pong, and in summer a sand beach with deckchairs.
The programme runs all day. Workshops, markets, author talks and yoga fill the afternoons, while evenings bring concerts, DJs, exhibitions and open-air cinema, with club nights at the weekend. There is a skatepark, a basketball court, graffiti walls and an urban garden with an ecological education centre under one of the historic cranes.
Entry is free. The house rules ban political, religious and football club symbols and ask guests to report any aggression to staff. In 2022 the local LGBT association Tolerado held the picnic after the Tricity Equality March here. This is a mixed crowd, not a gay venue, but a relaxed and central place to spend an afternoon or an evening in the shipyard district.
