Therma Silesia is a men-only gay sauna in Chorzów, a few kilometres from the centre of Katowice and reachable from anywhere in the Silesian conurbation. It has been running since 1999, which makes it one of the longest-standing gay venues in the region.
The heat is a Finnish dry sauna and a Roman steam room. Beyond that there are private cabins, a darkroom, a sling and a room with a screen, along with a jacuzzi and a bar. Wi-Fi is free.
The entrance is on Żelazna rather than on Leśna, where the postal address points, and it is a discreet one. Themed nights for the bear crowd are a fixture, and the venue has hosted the Polish bear scene's own events.
It describes itself in three words: a sauna only for men.
