Klub Sauna Piwnica sits below street level on ulica Gdańska, a short walk north of Bydgoszcz's old town. The name means cellar. Admission is for men over 18 only, and the club says so plainly on every page it publishes.
Inside there is a dry Finnish sauna and a steam room, a relaxation area, and a bar with a small open fireplace, with seating at tables and along the counter. Relaxation massages are available, arranged at the bar or by phone.
The programme runs to themed nights rather than one format, among them a naked party and an underwear night. The club also hosts POLARES, a national sexual health study that offers men free, confidential and anonymous testing for sexually transmitted infections, together with laboratory work and specialist consultations.
