Przestrzeń Wolności is a volunteer-run community space on plac Wolności in the centre of Bielsko-Biała. It is non-commercial: a local foundation rents the premises, and several collectives work out of it, among them a library of libertarian writing, a Food Not Bombs group and a vegan social kitchen.
Queer events are a regular part of the programme. The space has hosted drag shows, a queer stand-up evening with a drag cabaret, somatic workshops on norms around gender, bodies and sexuality, and an open meeting series on LGBTQ+ topics called Tęcza bez tabu. The book club reads queer titles next to books on punk and feminism.
The rest of the calendar is punk and hardcore gigs, film screenings, cooking workshops and political talks. Most events are free, with donations welcome. The main room is about 140 square metres, with a basement below it.
