Cafe Peanuts is a gay cafe on Stadhuisstraat, a short side street in the middle of Tilburg. It stands directly next to Cafe de Wijn, and the two together make up the city's small queer cafe cluster. Most people treat them as one stop and drift between the two over an evening.
The room is small and runs on its regulars rather than on passing trade. There is a terrace at the front and bingo evenings are a fixture. Roze 50+ Tilburg, the local group for LGBTQ+ people over fifty, holds its meetings here.
The bar takes no reservations. During Roze Maandag, the LGBTIQ+ day of the Tilburgse Kermis, this street is one of the busiest corners of the city.
