Café de Vink is the oldest gay bar in The Hague, on Schoolstraat just off the Grote Markt. It is a Dutch brown-cafe kind of room turned party bar: small, warm, and busy enough at the weekend that the dancing happens between the tables.
The bar calls itself the queer hotspot of The Hague and runs parties midweek as well as at the weekend. The crowd is mixed across ages and the door is not selective.
How old it actually is depends on who you ask. The bar's own site has said since 1928, the Dutch scene directory says 1952, and the city tourist board writes about 80 years of history.
