Café de Landman is a gay cafe on Denneweg, the street of galleries and antique dealers that runs north out of the centre of The Hague. It has been open since 1982 and is the least club-like of the city's gay bars: people come to sit, drink and eat rather than to dance.
The kitchen is part of the point here, which is unusual among the gay addresses in the city. The Dutch scene directory calls it the most prominent of the straight-friendly gay cafes in The Hague, and the mix in the room bears that out.
