A former Dominican convent in Nijmegen-Oost that women and non-binary people live and work in and run themselves. The association grew out of a squat in 1979, moved into this building in 1994 and bought it in 1997. Residents run their own small businesses from the building, from graphic design and illustration to music therapy and a singing teacher.
For visitors the queer part of it is the programme. Queer Yoga Nijmegen and Queer Sangha Nijmegen both meet here, the FLINTA movement organises from the building, and the chapel is hired out for exhibitions, markets, film nights and concerts. During the Vierdaagse the chapel becomes a small hostel.
This is not a bar and there is nothing to walk into unannounced. Look at what is on, or write ahead.
