The Bronx has sold erotic goods on Kerkstraat since 1976, on the stretch of the street that also holds Club Church at number 52. It calls itself an erotic lifestyle shop and says it is there for everyone regardless of gender or sexual orientation, while describing its own street as a historic part of Amsterdam's LGBTQIAP+ community.
The stock covers toys, lubricants including the thicker fisting kind, poppers and aroma inhalers, condoms and intimate care. There is a large clothing section with jockstraps, briefs, socks, leather, neoprene and lingerie, and the fetish side runs to bondage, chastity gear, electro, pumps and gas masks. Staff advise on the floor, and the webshop ships discreetly for anyone who would rather not walk in.
The shop takes part in the city's fetish calendar rather than only supplying it. It sponsors the Dutch Puppy Contest, the Dutch Mx Puppy election, and the contest's pre-contest coffee and cake is held in the shop before the judging moves across the road.
