About this Event

WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 takes place from 25 July to 8 August 2026 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Over 15 days, the city hosts one of the most significant LGBTQIA+ events ever to take place in Europe, combining WorldPride and EuroPride under one roof for the first time in Amsterdam's history. The overarching theme is UNITY, a deliberate and powerful statement at a time when equal rights for LGBTQIA+ people are facing increasing pressure in many parts of the world.
Amsterdam is a deeply fitting host. For the first time ever, Amsterdam will host WorldPride. WorldPride is a global event that promotes visibility and awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues internationally. Amsterdam, with more than 180 nationalities, is the most diverse city in the world. pride Its significance as a host city is further underlined by a remarkable anniversary: on April 1, 2001, the Netherlands made world history by opening civil marriage to everyone, finally allowing same-sex couples to exchange vows. I amsterdam WorldPride 2026 marks 25 years since that milestone. The event also coincides with 30 years of Pride Amsterdam and 80 years of COC Netherlands, making 2026 a truly landmark year for the Dutch LGBTQIA+ community.
The programme spans the full breadth of Amsterdam, with more than 500 events scheduled across the 15 days. Everything from open-air concerts and canal boat parades to human rights conferences, arts and culture exhibitions, and dedicated community zones for trans people, seniors, youth, women, bi+ individuals, students, and more will take place across the city.
Programme Overview and Dates/Times
The main events and their dates are as follows:
Week One (25 July to 2 August)

Pride March: 25 July, starting at Amstelveld, finishing at Vondelpark
Pride Park: 25 July, Vondelpark (all-day opening celebration)
Arts and Culture programme: 25 July to 8 August (ongoing across the city)
Open Air Film Festival: 29 to 30 July, Mercatorplein
Senior Pride Concert: 30 July, Nieuwmarkt
Street Parties: 31 July to 2 August, across 12+ locations throughout the city centre
Canal Parade: 1 August, departing from Oosterdok at 12:00, sailing via Nieuwe Herengracht, the Amstel and Prinsengracht; the first boats arrive around 15:00 and the last ones around 18:00. Gayvillage Over 80 decorated boats participate, with an expected audience of 250,000+ spectators lining the canals.

The Theme: UNITY
In a world where tolerance and freedom for the LGBTQIA+ community are not a reality everywhere, Amsterdam aims to be a symbol of unity. Unity means tolerance, connectedness, and love. The WorldPride 2026 logo shows that unity is the key to fighting intolerance. pride
The visual identity of WorldPride 2026 features a kaleidoscope design in which countless cultural patterns come together in one colourful whole, drawing on Dutch, Caribbean, Indonesian, Moroccan, and Turkish artistic traditions. It is a visual celebration of the many communities that make up the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the broader LGBTQIA+ movement worldwide.
The Concerts on Museumplein
Three major ticketed outdoor concerts anchor the second week of WorldPride, all held on Museumplein with capacity for 25,000 visitors each:
The UNITY Concert on 4 August welcomes world-class artists and queer performers for an evening celebrating visibility and the strength of the community. The Wedding Party XXL on 6 August transforms Museumplein into a grand wedding celebration in honour of 25 years of marriage equality in the Netherlands. The Closing Concert on 8 August brings the 15-day festival to a festive close with an evening of music and solidarity.
