Queer Tattoo Fest is two days of tattooing in De Hallen in Amsterdam West, with more than fifty artists working across the weekend. Walk-ups and booked appointments both happen, and the artists come from well outside the Netherlands.
Around the tattooing there is a makers market, workshops, live music and performances. The organisers frame the whole thing around care and around making room for queer bodies, which shows up in how the studios are laid out as much as in the programme.
The festival moved here from the NDSM yard, so De Hallen is a new site for it.
