Leather & Fetish Pride Netherlands is Amsterdam's leather and fetish week, spread across the bars and the fetish shops of the old centre rather than held in one hall. The official opening is at Eagle Amsterdam, and Dirty Dicks, The Cuckoo's Nest, Bears Amsterdam and Prik each carry a programme of their own alongside it.
Two titles are decided during the week, Mister Leather Netherlands at Akhnaton and Mr Rubber Europe, and the main party, Invasion, takes a venue in Amsterdam Noord. Around them there is bootblacking, a quiz with a fundraiser, drinks and the shops keeping long hours.
Admission is 18 and over and photo ID can be asked for. There is a dress code, and cotton clothing is not part of it and can get you turned away at the door. The organisers publish a consent policy that applies across the whole week, and drugs are grounds for removal.
