Club NYX is the queer club of the Reguliersdwarsstraat, three floors in the building it shares with Exit Cafe. Each floor runs its own sound, so a single night can hold pop, R&B, house and disco at the same time, and people move between them rather than staying put.
The club calls itself openminded rather than gay, and the crowd reflects that: queer at its core, straight friends alongside, drag and club kids well represented. The decor is graffiti and cartoon murals rather than anything sleek.
It is the last stop on the street for most people, and it runs the big nights during Pride.
