Taboo is one of the busiest bars on the Reguliersdwarsstraat and takes a wide mix of people, young and old, locals and visitors. It shares a large street terrace with its sister venue Taboo Kantine two doors along.
The programme is built on drag shows, a weekly cocktail night and games during the evening. It stays a bar rather than turning into a club, with music loud enough to shift the room but not so loud that talking stops.
No reservations are taken. Staff find people a spot on arrival, which in practice means the terrace fills first.
