Free Willie is a naked late-night bar for men on the Amstel, open since December 2023. Clothes come off at the door. The bar puts it as comfort with nakedness being part of contemporary gay culture, and treats it as the normal condition of the room rather than a theme night.
It describes itself as a gay and queer-man centred space and says outright that it does not police bodies, sexuality, sex identity or gender expression at the door. Entry is 18 and over. Phones and cameras stay away, and the house rules are explicit that no means no, with staff stepping in when guests disagree.
It is run by the same company as Sauna Nieuwezijds, and the sauna hands out tickets for it. The Amstel location puts it a short walk from Rembrandtplein.
