Kween opened in autumn 2025 on Triq il-Merkanti in Valletta, in the premises of the former Wild Honey Bar, and describes itself as a queer-owned bar and vegetarian bistro. Cocktails, mezze and a lot of plants.
The room is small and the crowd is largely local, which is what most of the reviews come back to: you end up talking to the next table. Staff will mix to taste rather than stick to the printed list.
Malta Pride and MGRM both use it for community evenings, trans game nights and social meet-ups among them, so it works as a meeting point as much as a bar. Its rainbow flag was stolen off the front within weeks of opening and the theft made the national news. The owners put the flag straight back up and said it would always fly there.
