Sirena - Drag Bar & Gay Café

Sirena opened on Triq Windsor in Sliema in September 2025 and calls itself Malta's first drag bar. It works as a café by day and a show venue in the evening, in a room small enough that the performers come to the tables.

The shows run in three parts with breaks between them, and drag bingo is a fixture of the programme. Booking is worth the trouble, because the room fills on show nights and most of the seating goes in advance. Reviewers keep coming back to the cocktails, which are mixed rather than poured.

The crowd mixes the local queer scene with visitors staying along the Sliema front. The promenade and the Valletta ferry are both a few minutes away, and the bar is one of the very few queer venues on the island that is open in daylight.
