About

Q Travel Malta runs small group and private tours for LGBTIQ+ travellers across Malta and Gozo. It holds a Malta Tourism Authority licence, and the people who lead the walks are Maltese, either members of the community or allies. Groups are kept small and adults only.

The best known of the walks is the Valletta Queer History Walking Tour. It starts at the Triton Fountain and takes in the Auberge de Castille, where the first Pride march set off, Strait Street and what it was when the fleet was in, the courthouse and the cases brought against gay men there, and St John's Co-Cathedral and the Knights. It ends at the City Light Cinema, which mattered to the local scene. Two hours, up to ten people.

The rest of the programme covers the Three Cities and the Inquisition, a women's history walk through Valletta, a Valletta street food and LGBTIQ+ history route, and Mdina with a wine tasting. Small group walks run in English, private ones also in German, Italian, Spanish and French.
