For those seeking an authentic, high-octane underground experience in the Baltics, Bunker Club is the definitive destination. Situated in a basement on Stabu iela, just a short walk from the city centre, this venue captures the raw, industrial spirit of Riga’s nightlife. It has firmly established itself as a cornerstone of the local LGBTQ+ scene, offering an edgy alternative to more mainstream bars.
The club’s aesthetic is true to its name: minimal, dark, and focused on the music. The state-of-the-art sound system predominantly pumps out a mix of techno, house, and progressive beats, attracting a dedicated crowd of clubbing enthusiasts. While the atmosphere is inclusive, the venue is particularly favoured by a male-identifying audience, especially during its themed circuit events and late-night parties that regularly run until the sun comes up.
Beyond the dance floor, Bunker Club features a well-stocked bar and a dedicated cruising area, providing a safe and discreet space for socialising. The door policy is generally friendly yet ensures a consistent vibe inside. If you want to experience the darker, more electronic side of Latvian queer culture, Bunker Club offers a night of intense music and liberation in the heart of the capital.
I recently got the courage to visit this bar. Great people and friendly staff. The drinks are reasonably priced too. So I definitely recommend it if you’re looking to find someone to spend some time — or even the night — with;)
Wicked times with my crew* Very cozy vibes.
Next doors was a club, so some of us went to get our A*** off on the dance floor..next time we def will visit this place!
We went there for the swingers night on a Saturday. Kinda cool, kinda seedy, well used and dirty--they even have a squat toilet which I haven't seen in a few years.
The drinks were unreasonably expensive--a double vodka and soda and a plain whisky on ice was 24Euros, while a beer and a plain whisky were 14Euros. And this was after paying 20E to get in.
No DJ, just okay pop/dance music.
I guess we're spoiled in Vancouver where it's much nicer and cheaper.
To be honest, the staff are friendly, but that's not enough!!!! I don't recommend it. The interior rooms, showers, and bathrooms are terrible. It's a very basic place, definitely not worth going to. If you have time, go to the clubs in Tallinn. You'll just be wasting your time and money here...
(Note: The swinger clubs I've been to before charge 50 euros and have shower rooms and jacuzzis inside, plus unlimited alcohol and food~~~~ This swinger club charged 50 euros plus an additional 100 euros for expenses inside. )
Empty, dark, dirty and smelly. Gave my goosebumps after entering, do not suggest unless you’re into very dirty stuff and risks of infections. Staff guy was very cool tho:)
