Pianeta Milk is Verona's LGBT+ centre, in the Borgo Roma district in the south of the city. It started in 2009 as an attempt to pull the city's scattered LGBT associations back together, ran as the MILK LGBT Center from 2011, and took its present name in 2017. It works as both an Arcigay territorial committee and an Arci circle.
Most of what it does is practical. There is a psychological counselling desk and a listening telephone line, along with standing groups for trans people, for young people, and for socialising and empowerment more generally, plus a cohousing project. Rapid HIV and STI testing is available at the centre. A thematic library and a film programme sit beside the campaigning.
For a visitor this is the place to ask what is actually happening in the city. The centre is also one of the three organisations behind Rainbow House Verona, the local anti-discrimination and reception service, which works out of the same address.
