The Trans* March is Turin's street demonstration for the rights and self-determination of trans, non-binary and gender variant people. It is held around the Transgender Day of Remembrance, so it carries two things at once: the memory of the people killed by transphobic violence over the past year, and the political demands of the trans community in Italy today.
Turin held the first march of this kind in Italy in 2014. It ran every year until 2018 and has been back since 2023. The Coordinamento Torino Pride, the network of associations behind the city's June Pride, organises it.
This year the march closes three days of events for the Transgender Day of Remembrance in the city, together with a political document drafted by the Torino Pride associations and an open public assembly. Anyone can join, and the organisers present the route and the full programme in the run-up to the day.
