101 is a queer bar and club in Monti, the neighbourhood between the Colosseum and Termini. It opened in 2021 and takes its name from its street number on Via Panisperna.
The crowd it describes is young, queer and international, and the room is small enough that it fills quickly. Music is pop-led, and the programme runs to drag performances and DJ sets.
The bar states plainly that it stands against discrimination on grounds of gender, orientation, origin, body and identity, and it puts that at the centre of how it presents itself.
