Thisagio is a queer club night on the northern edge of Parma. Drag performances, a dance floor, and a crowd that travels in from across the province.
The people behind it call it group therapy at 130 beats per minute, and describe their own approach as putting on questionable playlists and calling them vibes. That is the register of the whole thing. It is a room for sweat, glitter and enthusiastic bad dancing rather than for looking good while you do it.
The house rules are written down and they are enforced. Judgement and discrimination are out, and sexual harassment or sexist, racist or ableist jokes get you removed. For a city this size, a queer dance floor with a code of conduct behind it is the thing worth knowing about.
