Metro is the gay sauna in Padua, a few minutes on foot from the railway station and part of the small cluster of men's clubs on Via Turazza.
It runs to 600 square metres. There is a Finnish sauna, a Turkish steam bath, a hydromassage pool, a UV solarium and a video room, along with relaxation lounges and a bar. A garden with a second hydromassage pool and a sun terrace open onto the back, and there are smoking areas indoors and outside. Massage is available as a separate service.
The club makes a point of its hygiene. Every area is sanitised daily, slippers are handed out, the pool filters are serviced daily and it works to HACCP protocols. Condoms are free, and it runs an HIV testing programme called We Test.
Metro is a private association affiliated with ARCO and entry needs a membership card.
