Illumined is one of Milan's most established and well-known gay cruise clubs, open around the clock, seven days a week. Conveniently situated at Via Napo Torriani 12, just a short walk from Milan's central railway station (Milano Centrale), the venue is easy to reach from virtually anywhere in the city and is ideally placed for visitors arriving by train.
Spread across three floors, Illumined offers a varied and immersive experience for gay and bisexual men of all ages and backgrounds. The ground floor houses a fully stocked bar serving a complete range of alcoholic drinks and food, creating a relaxed social space to settle in before exploring further. The lower level opens into a labyrinthine basement area with darkrooms, private cabins, and maze-style corridors designed for discreet encounters. The top floor operates as an exclusive zone known as the "fire room", where nudity is the only dress code and themed party nights including naked, fist, and fetish events take place regularly.
The venue is air-conditioned and features relax rooms, video shows, and glory holes alongside the dedicated cruising zones. Weekend evenings, particularly Saturday nights, draw the largest crowds, but the doors are never closed, meaning visitors at any hour of the day will find company. Entry costs approximately EUR 10. A membership card (Arcigay Uno Club Card) along with a valid passport or ID is required for admission, in line with standard practice at Italian adult venues.
Illumined attracts a mixed crowd of locals and international travellers, with a reputation for a welcoming, no-attitude atmosphere. Music spans pop, rock, and techno. Whether you are looking for a late-night adventure or simply a drink in good company, Illumined is a must-visit stop on any gay itinerary in Milan.

I visited Illumined in MIlan 2 nights in a row and I loved the place. Very clean, facility was very nice. All types of guys mostly in their 20s and 30s. Cabins area were good. Whoever was picking the songs picked very good ones, music was great.
What a great cruising bar! I visited during August, and despite the city being pretty quiet I found plenty of fun at Illumined Bar.
3 floors with cruising area in the basement and naked bar on the 2nd floor. The main floor is more of a chill out space with a bar. On my visits the basement was pretty busy and the naked bar was quieter but that made it a nice break spot too.
I don’t understand a lot of the negative reviews. I speak about 10 words of Italian, but I tried to be nice and polite. I received the same treatment from all of the staff.
I’ll be back when Milan is busier and Illumined will be 1st on my list of must visit spots.
Loved it. Visited twice on different days. Staff were super nice and drinks were perfect. Enjoyed, people there were from different parts of the world mainly from italy.
Price was okay for the fun, chat and experience.
We Loved milan. ❤️
ILLUMINED BAR was good way to end our night.
We (Spanish and South African), arrived at the door, we greeted in Italian to be respectful but adopted a humble approach to convey the sense that we are tourists with limited Italian. We got barked at (I often wonder if Italians are aware just how aggressive they come across). The initial introduction is so very important to establish a friendly, kind atmosphere … but we felt almost assaulted with the body language and aggressive tone. We decided to leave because we did not feel welcome, which is a bit ironic because we were told to become members. I do not expect a pleasant reply (judging from the poor replies from previous reviews), but I guess what i would like to convey is that it is always best to treat your potential clients like you would like to be treated yourself should you find yourself in another country. If you ask a client to spent money, then first impressions matter. I never made it past the front door because i have too much self respect.
This place is a complete scam. As soon as they realize you’re a tourist, they overcharge your card without hesitation. Be extremely careful. Also, do NOT leave any of your personal belongings with the check-in staff — my friend ended up missing $100 from his wallet after doing so. Avoid this place at all costs.
